High Precision 24X Sokkia B40 Auto Level Survey Instrument - Quality from China Suppliers & Factory
SOKKIA B series automatic levels feature enhanced reliability under all environmental conditions. Tough and compact bodies are more tightly sealed against water, humidity and dust (IPx6). The B series levels provide quick setup, easy sighting, and superior durability against vibration and shock, ensuring the increased productivity over an extra-long period of time.
Superior Telescope
Optimally designed telescope provides exceptionally bright and sharp view that reduces operator's eye strain. Ultra-short focus distance of 20cm (7.9in.) from end of telescope makes it easiest to use in confined locations.
Quick Collimation
Two knobs of endless horizontal motion drives can be operated with either hand for fast and easy aiming. Horizontal Angle Measurement Horizontal angles can be read in 1° or 1 gon units. Freely rotatable circle allows any angle reading from zero. Right angles can be quickly set for layout and alignment tasks. The readout window is conveniently located on the instrument base - directly below the eyepiece.
Stadia
The stadia lines on the reticle allow distance measurements. Simply multiply the staff length between the top and bottom stadia lines by 100.
Easy To Adjust
Reticle adjustment is made with one screw. Circular levels vial is adjusted with two screws. Both adjustments are simple and fast with provided tools.

Q: What is the water resistance rating of the SOKKIA B series automatic levels?
The SOKKIA B series features tough and compact bodies that are tightly sealed against water, humidity, and dust, achieving an IPX6 (IEC 60529:2001) protection rating.
Q: What is the minimum focus distance of the SOKKIA B40?
The SOKKIA B40 has an ultra-short minimum focus distance of 0.2m (7.9in.) from the end of the telescope, and 0.3m (1ft.) from the instrument center, making it highly effective in confined spaces.
Q: How is distance measured using the reticle on the B series?
Distance can be measured using the stadia lines on the reticle. You simply multiply the staff length between the top and bottom stadia lines by the stadia ratio of 100.
Q: What type of compensator is used in the B40 model?
The SOKKIA B40 is equipped with a pendulum compensator featuring a magnetic damping system. It has a setting accuracy of 0.5" and a working range of ±15'.
Q: How do you perform adjustments on the B series automatic levels?
Adjustments are quick and simple: the reticle adjustment is made using only one screw, while the circular levels vial is adjusted with two screws. All necessary tools are provided with the instrument.
Q: What are the measurement units for the horizontal circle?
Horizontal angles can be read in either 1° or 1 gon units. The circle is freely rotatable to allow angle readings from zero, enabling fast setup for layout and alignment tasks.
