APEKS FAQ | How to Connect Your APEKS GNSS via Bluetooth?
If you're just getting started with RTK surveying using an APEKXS device, one of the first things you’ll need to do is connect your RTK receiver to your controller. In this blog, we’ll walk you through the Bluetooth connection setup — step by step — so you can begin your fieldwork with confidence.
Step 1: Choose the Instrument Type
After powering on the controller, tap the Device option on the main screen.
Then go to the Communication settings menu.
Under Device Type, tap and select GNSS — this means you’re connecting a satellite positioning instrument.
Step 2: Select the Brand
In the brand list, scroll down and choose APEKS.
This allows the software to apply the correct protocol and commands for your device.
Step 3: Select the Model
Now, select the specific model of your RTK device.
Options might include: AP10 AP30 AP50
Make sure you choose the correct model that matches your physical receiver.
Step 4: Choose Bluetooth as the Connection Method
In the connection method section, select Bluetooth.
This wireless connection is commonly used for RTK surveying and offers a quick setup without cables.
Step 5: Choose the Right Bluetooth Number
Your device will now search for available Bluetooth devices nearby.
Look for the Bluetooth name or number that matches your RTK receiver (usually labeled with the serial number or device name).
Select it, and then click Connect.
Once connected, the controller will establish communication with your RTK receiver, and you're ready to move forward with your survey.
Tip: Some APEKS GNSS support NFC. If enabled, simply tap your controller to the RTK to connect automatically — even faster than Bluetooth pairing!
Congratulations — you’ve completed the first major step in setting up your APEKXS RTK receiver!
